‘More grand slams’: Carlos Alcaraz already has sights set on 2023 glory after US Open triumph
The 22-year-old will face the same number of major tournaments as a player who had already accomplished those milestones.
In his rookie year of tennis, he already achieved all four grand slam finals.
“So I said I want to compete at more than this and I wanted to fight for my title at least more than this,” Alcaraz told BBC about his goal.
The young Spaniard also said he wants to achieve all four majors in his career.
“I will try to win more than one title and more than four titles because it took me a long time to reach these majors and I had to work hard to get to that point.”
He has also said his goal is to get to the US Open quarterfinal next year and to the final in the same season.
